The Quilters Storybook Notecards, Chapter 1

After her first long year of marriage, Eloise reluctantly finished her Steps to the Altar. She was now painfully aware that any woman looking for a husband had never had one. Janice began seriously working on her crazy quilt after filling her third prescription for prozac. Sherry’s eyes glazed over as she stood back and admired her Lone Star. She had such fond memories of twirling around the dance floor of that cowboy bar.
As Mildred completed her miniature Double Wedding Ring, she thought of it as a tribute to Harry. She felt the quilt was in approximatelyn the same ratio as Harry’s penis to a full-sized one. Marion finally finished her Drunkard’s night before she shot Harold. He came home with liquor on his breath one too many times. Sharon found herself working obsessively on her fan quilt over the long summer as her hot flashes increased in their intensity.
